Axion-like particle generation in laser-plasma interaction

The hypothetical axion and axion-like particles, feebly coupled with photon, have not yet been found in any experiment. With the improvement of laser technique, much stronger but shorter quasi-static electric magnetic fields can be created laboratory using laser-plasma interaction, compared to large magnets, help search axion. In this article, we discuss feasibility ALPs exploration planarly or cylindrically symmetric as background an x-ray free-electron probe. Both probe are polarized such that existence corresponding parameter space will cause polarization rotation probe, which detected high accuracy. Besides, a structured field plasma creates tunable transverse profile for interaction improves signal-to-noise ratio via phase-matching mechanism. ALP mass discussed article ranges from $10^{-3}$ eV 1 keV. Some simple schemes estimations on production photon given, reveals possibility future source laboratory.
